What PetPro-tectors™ is

PetPro-tectors™ is an independent, educational platform that analyzes pet food ingredient labels and produces scores and grades based on publicly available scientific, regulatory, and veterinary research. Our purpose is transparency — to give pet owners honest, unfiltered information about what is in the food they feed their animals.

What PetPro-tectors™ is not

PetPro-tectors™ is not a veterinary service, a medical authority, or a regulatory body. We do not diagnose illness, prescribe diets, or make clinical recommendations. Our scores are educational tools, not medical advice.

No intent to harm

PetPro-tectors™ does not exist to harm any pet, person, company, corporation, or entity. Our scores reflect published scientific and regulatory standards. We do not target any brand, and we do not manufacture controversies. Every score is generated by the same methodology, applied equally to all products.

All foods begin equal

Every pet food analyzed on this platform begins with a perfect score of 100. Like humanity itself, all foods are created equal — they earn their final grade through their ingredients. No food starts at a disadvantage. No food is pre-judged.

Deductions are evidence-based

Points are deducted only for ingredients that appear on published watchlists, have documented health concerns in peer-reviewed literature, or have been flagged by the FDA, AAFCO, or established veterinary organizations. Deductions are not opinions — they are applied from a consistent, published framework.

Grades

Final scores translate to letter grades: A (90–100), B (75–89), C (60–74), D (45–59), F (below 45). A passing grade does not mean a food is recommended — it means the evidence against it does not rise to the level of a failing score.

Per-ingredient penalties

Each ingredient is evaluated independently. Penalty tiers are: ☠️ Dangerous / Banned elsewhere (−8 points), ❌ Strongly discouraged / Known health risks (−5 points), ⚠️ Concerning / Disputed evidence (−3 points), 🟡 Low-quality filler / Nutritionally poor (−2 points), ✅ No penalty (0 points).

Structural penalties

Beyond individual ingredients, a food may receive structural penalties for broader formulation problems: Grain-free with legume-heavy formula (DCM risk, −20), Predominantly rendered/by-product protein sources (−15), More than 3 artificial preservatives (−10), No named meat as first ingredient (−10), Excessive filler-to-protein ratio (−8).

No bonus points

Scores can only go down from 100. We do not award bonus points for marketing claims like "natural," "holistic," or "premium." Those words are unregulated and mean nothing in the context of ingredient safety.

We are not infallible

PetPro-tectors™ makes every effort to apply its scoring methodology accurately and consistently. However, ingredient databases, AI analysis, and human review are all subject to error. If our scoring is mistaken or wrong, we want to know.

How corrections work

Any person — consumer, researcher, or company representative — may submit a challenge to a score or rating through our Feedback form. Submissions must include specific evidence (published studies, regulatory documents, or verifiable sources). We will review every credible challenge personally. If the evidence supports a correction, we will make it — and we will say so publicly.

Formula changes

Pet food manufacturers change formulas without notice. A score on this platform reflects the formula at the time of scanning. We are not responsible for changes made after a scan was recorded. If a formula has changed, submit the new label through the scanner and a new score will be generated.

We accept no pet food industry sponsorships

PetPro-tectors™ will never accept sponsorships, advertising revenue, paid placements, affiliate arrangements, or any form of compensation from any company in the pet food industry, pet care industry, or any food manufacturing sector of any kind — for pets or for humans. Our scores are never for sale.

This applies to all food

This prohibition extends beyond pet food. AlphAlphaOmega Technologies™ plans to expand its transparency mission to human food. No food company — regardless of species served — will ever pay to influence a score on any platform we operate.

What we do accept

We may accept sponsorships from companies outside the food and pet care industries — technology companies, financial services, apparel, and similar sectors — provided those sponsorships are clearly disclosed and carry no editorial influence over our scoring or content.

What we collect

We collect your phone number for account creation and authentication. We may collect optional profile information (name, pet details) that you provide voluntarily. We collect scan history associated with your account.

What we do not do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your data with pet food companies, advertisers, or any third party for marketing purposes. Your phone number is used solely for authentication and, if enabled, account notifications.

Stripe payments

Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or payment credentials of any kind on our servers.

Not veterinary advice

Nothing on PetPro-tectors™ constitutes veterinary advice. Scores, grades, verdicts, and ingredient analyses are educational tools based on published research — they are not clinical assessments and should not replace the advice of a licensed veterinarian.

Individual variation

Every animal is different. An ingredient flagged as concerning by our system may be tolerated well by a specific pet, and an ingredient we rate as safe may cause issues in an animal with specific sensitivities or conditions. Always consult your veterinarian before making significant changes to your pet's diet.

AlphAlphaOmega Technologies™ and PetPro-tectors™ provide this platform and its content on an as-is, educational basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose of any information on this platform.

No liability for decisions

AlphAlphaOmega Technologies™ shall not be held liable for any harm, injury, illness, death, financial loss, or other damages to any pet, person, or entity arising from reliance on information, scores, grades, or verdicts published on this platform. All feeding and purchasing decisions remain the sole responsibility of the individual pet owner.

Name origin

The name AlphAlphaOmega Technologies™ represents a founding principle: we are the beginning of transparency (Alpha), the leader of leaders (Alpha), and the end of opacity (Omega). The name also echoes alfalfa — a plant that grows where others cannot, that feeds animals, and that endures.

20% of profits to causes that matter

AlphAlphaOmega Technologies™ commits to donating 20% of net profits from PetPro-tectors™ to charitable causes — split equally between two missions we believe in deeply.

10% to no-kill animal shelters

10% of net profits will be donated to no-kill animal shelters across the United States. We built this platform to protect pets. That commitment does not stop at the app.

10% to SIDS research

10% of net profits will be donated to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) research. SIDS takes lives before they have a chance to begin. We believe in funding the science that could one day end it.
